About the Event
Europe’s future is being shaped now. With rising geopolitical tensions, institutional reform and competing global powers, the process of enlarging the European Union has taken on renewed strategic importance. The recently issued 2025 Enlargement Package by the European Commission makes this clear: enlargement is not a distant aspiration but a genuine, realistic possibility provided if candidate and potential candidate countries deliver robust reforms and that the EU itself is prepared to absorb new members under stronger internal safeguards.
In this moment of opportunity and challenge, leadership matters. Questions of who drives enlargement, what the strategic decisions are, and why this matters for Europe, the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership countries, take center stage.
The webinar will bring together professionals and experts from different parts of Europe who work on EU affairs, enlargement, public policy and regional development. Their combined perspectives will help shed light on the challenges, opportunities and strategic considerations shaping the EU’s enlargement outlook toward 2030.
