Today, 17 September 2026, Strategers Institute will host a high-level discussion in Skopje bringing together representatives from European and international institutions, national fiscal, monetary and financial institutions, government, academia and think tanks.

The discussion will focus on a central question for the region: How can EU accession translate into faster economic convergence, higher productivity and improved living standards in the Western Balkans?

The event will also launch the discussion around Strategers Institute’s new Policy Brief, “From Accession to Convergence: Financing the European Future of the Western Balkans,” examining how EU funding, national resources, international financial institutions and private capital can be better aligned with reforms and measurable convergence outcomes.
