Nadire Redjepi is a Roma woman, activist, economic development expert, and entrepreneur from North Macedonia, with extensive experience in advancing Roma rights, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and inclusive development across the Western Balkans and Europe.

Her engagement in Roma activism began at the age of 13 and has shaped a professional journey dedicated to expanding opportunities for Roma communities and strengthening their participation in economic, social, and public life. Over the years, she has worked at the intersection of civil society, public policy, economic development, and entrepreneurship, combining grassroots experience with regional and international leadership.

Nadire previously served as Director for the Western Balkans at the Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (REDI), where she led regional efforts to advance Roma entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, access to markets, and more inclusive economic policies. She has worked closely with governments, international organizations, civil society, financial institutions, and the private sector across Europe.

She is also a founding member of the Institute for Research and Policy Analysis – Romalitico in North Macedonia and has contributed to numerous national and international initiatives, policy processes, and high-level forums focused on Roma inclusion and economic development.

Today, alongside her continued engagement in advocacy and international cooperation, Nadire is also an entrepreneur and business owner, bringing practical private-sector experience to her broader work on economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

As a Roma woman and long-standing activist, she is committed to shifting the narrative around Roma communities—from one centered primarily on vulnerability and exclusion toward one that recognizes leadership, talent, entrepreneurship, resilience, and economic potential.

Nadire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from South East European University and a Master of Arts in Economic Policy in Global Markets from Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.
